3 Ways To Simplify Social Media
I just arrived in Canada, and it’s freezing! After a 24-hour flight delay at my connecting stop, I had to do a lot of adjusting, shifting, and simply allowing things to be as they were.
Why was this NOT stressful?
I got SYSTEMS in place.
Why do SYSTEMS matter?
Because life is going to life and if I needed life to not life in order for my business to run, I would be a dysregulated nervous Nellie always worried about things not working.
With that, here are 3 ways that I save time with social media, especially when I am on the road:
it’s my words, my ideas, but I batch in advance and I have help doing so. If you know me, me spending time editing videos is a set up for disaster and my energy is spent on the “big ideas/creativity” instead of actually creating every single piece. The less I am doing the things that exhaust me, the more energy I have for serving clients and creativity- and THAT is what will grow my impact. (Yours too!)
I have a chart where I communicate what will be repurposed. Meaning many of my instagram reels will go on TikTok, ONLY grief or mindset related ones go on Facebook (know your audience on each platform- it matters), email gets chopped into posts (I love words), and many times shared on LinkedIn or made into a blog on my page. I am not creating different content for every platform BUT I AM DIFFERENTIATING IT! There are “norms” to every platform and you want to be mindful of those.
I freaking love stories. I can interact with people, but truthfully, it’s effortless. I don’t need to edit, I make typos, there’s no music beat timings- people just get to experience me. Stories are a GREAT way (fb and IG) to really connect with your person in an EASY way. If I have the choice of missing a couple days of posting or stories- it will be posting.
And don’t forget to use polls. Why- because instead of trying to read people’s minds on what they want to hear more about, you can just ask them. Simple right?
Speaking of which- you all voted this weekend and were loud about wanting more content on Scaling and Outsourcing.
Ask and you shall receive :)
Grateful to play life and biz with you all.
In love and gratitude,
Melissa
